It took us 5 minutes to fall in love, half a day to share a first kiss, one month to tell we love each other and go for our first vacation and a year to get engaged. Two years and 17 days since we met and more than 50 flights after we are getting married! Please check this website regularly for updated information.
Who would have thought a summer fling at a music festival in Poland will change our lives forever. It was a sunny day in the beginning of July, sandy beach in Sopot. The party had started at the beach, our friends were happy to see each other and have some wine! Ok, lot’s of wine! He asked to put his towel next to her, and she said yes.
He cut his finger making her favourite drink, she put a bandaid on it and kissed it. Few moments later he kissed her on the balcony of a Sopot apartment at sunset. It is this moment their friends refers to as: “They met, started kissing and never stopped”.
The long distance relationship needed a boost to see if it would hold. Instead of choosing a simple romantic weekend, we dove right in. A month after meeting eachother, we decided to go on a week’s road trip in Tuscany, Italy. Despite some scenes that would have gotten many couples to start fighting, not a simple harsh word was spoken. Not only did it go great, but the day after our return we said “I love you” to each other for the first time.
The ‘moving in’ part is on-going. From the start it felt like we belong in each other’s apartments, cities and countries. For almost two years now we have both lived in two countries together. The big and official move is scheduled for this March. Viks is looking forward to her Swedish adventures!
Kinder surprise! Sneaky-sneaky preparations and planning from the grooms side left the bride indeed surprised and ecstatic. We have an ongoing tradition of giving each other kinder surprise eggs throughout the two years of our relationship. Sneaked in on a plane as a surprise, there were no suspicions of a proposal. When the egg was given to the bride on the first day of vacation, the only comment from the bride-to-be was: ‘You always surprise me, I won’t even know when you will be proposing to me’ - and there it was, a ring falling out of a chocolate egg.

Our wedding will take place in Warsaw. For our ceremony and party we have chosen the Boathouse restaurant, on the bank of Vistula river, in the city center of Warsaw. We have decided to have a light, easy going and flower-power wedding. The theme of the wedding is - bohemian chic. The ceremony and party will take place in one location. The ceremony will take place on grass, hence high heels are not a must. The wedding day will include: pre ceremony drinks and snacks, sit down dinner, all night buffet and an open bar.
Dress code: Semi-formal
